NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY WINE GEM
BARREL ROOM
VINTAGE WINE BAR & BISTRO
“The way the world of wine should be-New World Attitude and Old World Style”. Simply put, this is the motto of the Barrel Room. That is what makes this wine bar and bistro so fantastic! This North County wine bar offers world class wine selections at reasonable prices and a great menu that blends European and American style bistro choices. The Barrel Room is a popular destination for so many people in North San Diego and the general San Diego region as well. It offers a nice ambiance with cozy leather couches, tables, bar, and outside patio dining. Their huge wine selection is displayed along the wall of the wine bar and bistro.
We have enjoyed wonderful wines and food there with friends and family. All of the wines onsite are available for take home purchases. The Barrel Room also hosts special wine dinners with various wine makers or wine specialists from around the globe. We recently attended the Italian Wine Dinner. There were close to 50 people at this special wine event. We were all seated outside on their covered patio for the fun evening event.
ITALIAN WINE DINNER WITH MARCUS MIZZOU
The Barrel Room Italian Wine Dinner event was exceptional. It featured a five course meal paired with different Italian wines. Marcus spoke in between each course and explained the different wine regions of Italy and why the styles of wines were selected and paired with the chosen dishes. All of the Italian dishes prepared were delicious and perfectly paired with the Italian wines. The wines served were all available for purchase. We bought some delightful red wines from Tuscany and Sicily to enjoy again at home!
