WINE TASTING AT SANS V-OPEN CELLAR FOR EARTH DAY
Wine tasting at Sans V-Open Cellar for Earth Day was a fun and rare experience. The Sans V Tasting Room open house event featured the rare chance to taste wines from San Diego wineries that make their wines in the 298 Urban Winery. The wine tasting featured wines from Stehleon Vineyards, Vesper Vineyards, Jack Simon Vineyards, J Brix, and William & Heim Wineries.
Guests were able to enjoy wine tasting and bites of food while supporting a good cause on Earth Day. Sans V Tasting Room offered 12 tastes of wine from the five wineries and small bites of food for $25. Half of all the tastings proceeds will go to Plant, Grow, Eat program.
Sans V Tasting Room is an Urban Winery located in Escondido that normally features wines from Stehleon Vineyards, Vesper Vineyards, and Jack Simon Vineyards. Their motto is, “Taste San Diego One Sip at a Time!” Sans V Tasting Room is open Friday-Sunday’s and typically pet friendly except when hosting large events with food.
Stehleon Vineyards wines are San Diego grown and produced. Winemaking at Stehleon is a family affair and the Winemaker Alysha is the daughter of the owners. Our favorite wine we tasted from their vineyard at the event was the Sangiovese.

Vesper Vineyards focuses exclusively on San Diego grapes. Our favorite wine we tasted at the event from one of their various vineyards was the Syrah.
Jack Simon Vineyards produces mostly Rhone and Spanish blend wines. Our favorites we tasted were the #1 and #2 Red Blends.
Williams & Heim Winery sources a lot of their grapes from Napa. The Partner and Winemaker Duncan Williams has been making wines since 1982. Our favorites were the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
J Brix Winery has two vineyards in San Diego and several others in Central California and Sierra Foothills. Our favorite wine we tasted at the event from their vineyards was the Syrah.
We enjoyed the wine tasting at Sans V-Open Cellar for Earth Day. We bought several bottles of wine to enjoy at home. We look forward to returning soon to Sans V Tasting Room.
Cheers!
