WINE TASTING AT CORDIANO WINERY
Wine tasting at Cordiano Winery was a great way to spend a pleasant San Diego evening. The Cordiano Winery is nestled in the hills of San Pasqual Valley in Escondido. The winery is family owned and operated. The family was originally from Italy and they take pride in the craftsmanship of quality wines and of their labor practiced for ages in the old country. The owners Gerardo and Rosamaria Cordiano opened the winery in 2002. They converted a 30 acre avocado farm into an award winning winery. Gerardo dedicated the wine to his wife, “Primo Amore”, which means first love.
Cordiano Winery has spectacular views, wines, and delicious food. Many guests visit the Wine Tasting Room to enjoy great wines. Many others make dinner reservations to enjoy the beautiful sunsets while they sip and savor the delicious wine and food. Private and Special events are often held at Cordiano Winery.
The Wine Tasting flights at Cordiano Winery include Red or White wines. The Wine Tasting flights cost $15 for 7 tastes or $10 for 4 tastes. We enjoyed tasting the red wines to include Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Trinity Blend, Barbera, Novello, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our favorite red wines were the Sangiovese, Syrah, and Tempranillo.
The Outdoor Wine Tasting Room is pet friendly. Several guests were observed sipping their wines with their dogs at their side. The Primo Amore Wine Club is available at Cordiano Winery if interested.
We really enjoyed the Wine Tasting at Cordiano Winery and look forward to returning soon!
Cheers!
