SILVER OAK WINE TASTING DINNER AT THE BARREL ROOM
The Silver Oak Wine Tasting Dinner at The Barrel Room was a wonderful event. Hosted by The Barrel Room, the Silver Oak Winery representative Julie Bart brought six different wines for tasting that were paired with delicious courses prepared by the restaurant’s chef.
Silver Oak wines are world famous. The Silver Oak winery was started in 1972 in Napa Valley by an entrepreneur and his business partner who was a winemaker and former Christian Brother. They currently have 400 acres of vineyards in Napa Valley and Alexander Valley. Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignons are their most popular wines, but participants of the wine tasting dinner at The Barrel Room also got to taste their Twomey Pinot Noirs, Sauvignon Blancs, and Merlots.
The Barrel Room offers world class wine selections at reasonable prices and a great menu that blends European and American style bistro choices. Their huge wine selection is displayed along the wall of the wine bar and bistro. The Barrel Room hosts special wine dinners on a monthly basis with winemakers or wine specialists from around the globe.
The Silver Oak Wine Tasting Dinner was conducted outside on their covered patio on a delightful San Diego evening. Close to 50 people attended this special wine tasting event. The wines were so good that we bought a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir to enjoy again at home! The Silver Oak Wine Tasting Dinner at The Barrel Room really was a fantastic event with delicious food and wine. We look forward to their next wine tasting dinner event. We will list their upcoming wine tasting dinner events in the “Special Events” section of our blog. CHEERS!
