MARINE ROOM COOKING CLASS & WINE DINNER
The Marine Room Cooking Class & Wine Dinner, Romance, Bubbles and Sweets was such a fun evening. Executive Chef Bernard Guillas and Chef de Cuisine Ron Oliver provided a lively demonstration cooking class then a three course dinner with wine pairings at the Marine Room in La Jolla. The Marine Room is world reknown for its elegant dining on the surf. At the Marine Room you can enjoy delicious food prepared by world class chefs, amazing wines, and eye-level waves crashing up against the restaurant. The Marine Room opened in 1941 and has been a benchmark for quality oceanfront dining in La Jolla ever since.
The special three course dinner and wine pairing at the Marine Room included Baked Northern Pacific Oysters, Angus Filet Mignon and Wild Prawns, and Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake with a paired port wine. We sipped on a complimentary welcome cocktail while we watched the entertaining cooking demonstration. We learned a lot about the food being prepared and enjoyed the personal stories shared. Then we enjoyed the delicious food and the perfectly paired wines at our table.
We really enjoyed the Marine Room Cooking Class & Wine Dinner. Everything was delicious and truly a great sensory experience! The Marine Room will be hosting other special events and wine paired dinners throughout 2018. We look forward to returning soon.
Cheers!
