THE VENGE WINEMAKER DINNER AT WINE VAULT & BISTRO
The Venge Winemaker Dinner at Wine Vault & Bistro was a great evening. The Wine Vault & Bistro hosted a Venge Vineyards Winemaker Dinner that included five delicious courses paired with five different Venge wines. Kirk Venge, the Winemaker and Proprietor of Venge Vineyards was present and provided information about the winery, vineyards, and each of the wines we enjoyed with the dinner.
The Venge family has grown varietals in Napa for over 50 years. Kirk Venge took over as Proprietor and Winemaker from his father in 2008. Venge Vineyards follows both traditional and progressive wine production techniques. They now have various vineyards in both Napa and Sonoma. Their other label Croix from Sonoma produces both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Wine Vault & Bistro is a restaurant that is only open for dinners Thursdays-Saturdays, but hosts special Winemaker Dinners or other special events on Sundays and Mondays. Their menus change daily and always have special courses and wines paired with each course. All wines paired at any dinner are available for purchase and take home that evening.
The Venge Winemaker Dinner we attended perfectly paired five delicious courses with five great wines. Our favorites were the Oven Roasted Quail paired with the 2017 Croix “Narrow Gauge” Pinot Noir, and the Roasted New York Steak paired with the 2016 Venge “Silencieux” Cabernet Sauvignon.
We really enjoyed the Venge Winemaker Dinner at Wine Vault & Bistro and bought several bottles of the Venge Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy again at home. We look forward to returning to the Wine Vault & Bistro soon for another special Winemaker Dinner.
Cheers!
