BATASIOLO ITALIAN WINE DINNER AT SOLARE RISTORANTE
Batasiolo Italian Wine Dinner at Solare Ristorante was amazing. Batasiolo Italian Wines were paired with a delicious 4-Course Italian Dinner in an intimate setting at Solare. The different courses and wines perfectly complemented each other and provided guests with a fantastic sensory experience.
Solare Ristorante is an Authentic Italian restaurant and bar that focuses on Italian foods primarily from the Tuscany area. The restaurant uses fresh and locally grown foods in all of their menu items. Solare is located in the heart of Liberty Station and is family owned and operated. Solare offers patio dining, inside dining, a wine room chef table, bar, and private events. Solare recently won San Diego Magazine Best Italian Restaurant, Best Wine List, and Best Service. Batasiolo is the world’s largest producer of Barolo from the Piemonte area of Italy. They also produce many other Italian Wines to include Nebbiolo, Barbaresco, Moscato, and Gavi.
Randy Smerik, owner of Solare and Stefano Poggi, Batasiolo Export Manager both took turns providing guests with information about the wines we were drinking and the food we were eating. The lively discussions were very informative and entertaining. Our favorite food and wine pairings were the Fettuccine al Tartufo paired with Batasiolo Langhe Nebbiolo 2017 and the Anatra Toscana Duck Breast paired with both the Batasiolo Barbaresco 2015 and the Batasiolo Barolo 2015.
The Batasiolo Italian Wine Dinner at Solare was truly a great evening. We bought several bottles of the 2015 Barolo to enjoy again at home. We look forward to returning soon as well as attending other upcoming Wine Dinner events at Solare.
Cheers
