WINE TASTING-TOUR OF ITALY AT WINESELLAR & BRASSERIE
Wine Tasting-Tour of Italy at WineSellar & Brasserie was a great experience. The WineSellar & Brasserie opened in 1988 and pioneered the concept of combining a fine wine shop, wine storage, and French restaurant under one roof. The first year of opening, their wine list won Wine Spectator’s Gold Award as one of the 75 best wine lists in the world. The WineSellar & Brasserie has won the same award for 23 consecutive years since opening. The WineSellar & Brasserie has over 2500 wines and a wide range of both domestic and international wines.
The Wine Tasting-Tour of Italy event at the WineSellar & Brasserie highlighted four different Italian wines from four different regions of Italy. Cat poured our four Italian wines. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Italian wines. We tasted two white wines, the Palama Arcangelo, Verdecca Salento and the Feudi Branciforti, Grillo. Then we tasted the two red wines they were pouring, the Monte Tondo Corvina and the Luca Bosio Dolcetto, d’Alba D.O.C. We also enjoyed some appetizers, the charcuterie plate and the stuffed dates with goat cheese wrapped in bacon that really complemented the wines. Our favorite Italian wine of the night was the delicious full bodied red, Luca Bosio Dolcetto and we bought a bottle to enjoy at home.
The WineSellar & Brasserie has three different Wine Clubs to choose from if interested. They also have special events every month and numerous wine tastings on Wednesdays.
We really enjoyed the Italian Wine Tasting at the WineSellar & Brasserie and look forward to returning soon.
Cheers!
